Do you know Maison Quaker in Brussels/Belgium? This house was built at the end of the 19th century by a stockbroker named Jean-Julien Van Stappen. Since 1985, it has belonged to a group called the Quakers. The inside of the house was designed by an architect named George Hobé. Many original parts are still there, like the dining room with wood on the walls and beautiful glass doors in the Art Nouveau style. It is located at 50 Square Ambiorix and here are more cute pictures.
The Quaker Council of European Affairs (QCEA) is seeking to appoint a Friend or Friends in Residence who will be the Quaker presence for everyone using the House and will also need to work with the Office Manager and Director to manage usage of the House. The position would be suitable for a couple as well as an individual.
The QCEA Executive Committee want to progress this position as quickly as possible. It is important that any applicant(s) already has freedom of residence within the EU to avoid delay and complications. Applications must be returned by 29 May.
