Not a job, but a role

Dear Friends and friends of Friends,

At Annual Meeting 2023 (10th to 12th November in Brussels, sign up until the 20th October!), we are hoping to appoint a number of Friends to four roles that need filling in order for EMEYF to continue and thrive as an international community of F(f)riends.

These roles are:

  1. Co-Clerk
  2. Treasurer (for formal reasons, only people with a place of residence in the UK can be appointed to this role)
  3. Gatherings Coordinator
  4. EMEYF Representative to the Europe and Middle East Section (EMES) of the Friends World Committee for Consultation (FWCC)

You can read about these roles and the adventures and experiences EMEYFers have previously had with them in a series of brand-new Willy & Pen blogposts!

Co-Clerk
Treasurer
Gatherings Coordinator
EMEYF Representative to EMES

An in-between-gatherings Nominations Committee (or Noms Com, for short) that was appointed at the last Spring Gathering has already started the process of looking for Friends who are willing and able to support EMEYF by taking on responsibility for one of these roles. This way, we hope to be able to bring a name (or names) for each role to Annual Meeting (AM) for discernment.

This is where you, dear Friends and friends of Friends, come in!

Please support your Noms Com by

  • Having a look at these blogposts
  • Thinking about whether you, or people you know, might be a good fit for any of them
  • Getting in contact with the nominations Committee with suggestions of names Noms might want to consider – either by commenting this Blogpost or sending a message via contact form.

Self-nominations are very welcome! If you want to be more involved in EMEYF activities between gatherings, we would love to hear from you!

Ideally – in our perfect dream scenario – we would receive all of your many self-nominations, suggestions, hints and tips before the 24th of October.

If you have any questions about these roles or about our nominations process, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via comment or contact form.

We look forward to hearing from you!
